Dental decay is a common problem that occurs when acids in your mouth dissolve the outer layers of your teeth, producing cavities that require filling.
We have no longer use traditional silver (amalgam) fillings at this practice because they are made from a mixture of mercury and other heavy metals. Instead we recommend tooth-coloured fillings which are made from a metal free composite.
If you require a filling your dentist will remove any decay and restore the tooth with a white tooth coloured filling. We can also safely replace your existing silver amalgam fillings with new white tooth coloured fillings.
